Bryson and I had one of the best 4th of Julys we've ever had!! It was a fun filled day and I'm going to do my best to keep this short, cause the video is long enough! :) We started the day off with a hike up to the Timpanogos Caves. We were planning on just doing the hike cause all we had heard was that the tours of the caves usually sell out on holidays, which was the case here...however, we decided to just check and see when we first got there and two people had JUST canceled so we were able to get into a tour. The tour had just barely left so we were able to hike up on our own, no waiting, no anything. The hike wasn't the easiest hike. I know I'm not in shape, so that probably didn't help either, but it was a pretty difficult hike I think for most. It's a mile and a half long just to get up to the caves and it's a 1,065 incline so the majority of the hike is pretty steep. Maybe I'm just a wimp. Anyway, we made it up there, able to rest a little before the actual tour of the caves started. The tour was so neat. It was 45 degrees inside the caves so it was nice and cool and the whole thing was just very interesting. We had a lot of fun playing around and exploring, squeezing through tiny crevices, etc. They say that when a stalactite drips water on you its a kiss from the cave...so in the video you'll notice a few pictures of us getting "kisses' from the cave. It was just a lot of fun. Oh see if you can find the picture of the rock formation that looks like a St. Bernard dog. The hike down was SO nice (especially compared to the hike up) and so beautiful! After we enjoyed some ice cream cones at the snack bar to cool off. We then drove home and relaxed for a few hours...we were pooped! Then Jenny and Tyson came over for our indoors BBQ. Well, we enjoyed our yummy food and then got our big blanket and some games to keep us occupied and headed out to the lawn to claim our front row seat territory for the fireworks show that was in a few hours. We were there for about 10 minutes just hanging out with the many other people claiming their spots and this car pulls up right in front of us and asks US if we wanted four free tickets to Stadium of Fire!!!! We threw all our stuff back in the apartment and headed over to Stadium of Fire. For those who don't know what this is...it's a BIG concert like shin-dig in Cougar Stadium with a HUGE firework show at the end. Stadium of Fire was SO much fun! Glenn Beck (he has his own show on CNN) and something or other Willard (comedian...I can't think of his first name now...you'll recognize the picture) were there hosting it for the most part, Brooks & Dunn performed, along with this other kid Corbin Bleu (from High School Musical??), there was this guy, Rocketman, who flew around the stadium with a rocket pack strapped on his back like Rocketeer...it was SO cool (see video)!! Then there were a bunch of other stuff, soldiers, kids singing and dancing, etc. It was just so much fun! And then the firework show at the end was amazing!! We were so close that the fireworks were raining ash on us. After Stadium of Fire, we all went back to our apartment and had our own little firework show with sparklers and some fun little fireworks that Bryson and I bought. It was a GREAT day and night!!! Well...this is long enough!! Enjoy the video!! Hope you all had a great fourth of July!!

Yeah, we really did get lucky! The guy that gave us the tickets said his kids came down with chicken pox so they couldn't go as planned. They were pretty good seats too. We were very very lucky all day yesterday. We kept saying...this is officially our Lucky Fourth of July!!
