NEW BLOG!!!

Okay, I don't know what I'm thinking....I must be crazy!! I'm trying to sell these cute little bows I am making. Originally I just wanted to sell them locally and created a blog just as a reference for people to look at. I was planning on selling them at consignment shops and putting flyers up with the blog address so people could see what I do. After getting the blog going a little bit, I had some people asking me about it in other places and they were referring their friends to it at church groups and mommy dates. ANyway, they needed a way to be able to pay me, etc. So I decided to set up an account with paypal so I could receive their money. NOW, after talking to Melissa, I need a license. I called the city, and yup, I do. So, we'll see how this goes for now. Take a peek at the blog and tell me what you think.

Girls Camp

Constructing our Testmonies-That was the theme for our girls camp. It was so awesome. We all had hard hats and tool belts. It was so wonderful, I didn't want to come home-except for a shower and a nice bed. But I loved being in the mountains with the girls and other leaders. My testimony and friendships were stregthened.
Here is a beautiful sunset from our camp site. Me with some of my girls!
I had to take a picture of the one behind the camera. I took like 400 pictures and not very many of me. So, here I am.
All of us the last day. The final building we constructed was the temple-just like their final goal.
We got to go canoeing. It was so fun and i was soaked. The girls would do a ROCK attack and get Sister Rock completed wet. It was awesome!

I hope all you are doing well. Robin-Shelby is too cute. Please share more pictures with us! She is so adorable! Ashley way to go on the bows!! That is way awesome. Katie, where have you been? I haven't seen you in awhile. And Bobby how is Washington?

Well, I love you all.

Fish Family Camping Trip

So this past weekend we went camping with Bryson's family and then a bunch of extended family. It was a great trip. Quick, but fun. We went to Bryce Canyon. We got there late Friday night, spent all day Saturday hiking, sight seeing, exploring, and just hanging out. And then left Sunday afternoon. The freeway was closed on the way home so what should've taken us only four hours to get home actually took us about eight hours. Crazy! But it was good...we got good talking time in and got to see some quaint little towns that we didn't know existed. :) All in all, it was a great weekend!

WOAH, SLOW DOWN BABY!!!

This little turkey has so much going on right now!! She started sitting up about two weeks ago, has two little teeth buds trying to pop out as of a week ago, and then yesterday, she started crawling. Well, not a full on crawl, but an army crawl. It gets her around and I'm sure she'll be up on those knees in a few weeks. Where'd my baby go?

Check out her little crawl.

Okay, then I had to mention that she is eating pretty well. Okay, she likes the orange veggies (squash, sweet potatoes, etc) but she HATES the green ones (peas, green beans, etc). When I give her the green ones, she gags and whines. THen I give her a scoop of the orange ones and she eats it just fine. Back to the green during the same feeding and she's gagging again. It's kinda funny.

We are going to start fruits today. Hopefully she'll like those and will eat more of her rice cereal if I mix fruit in. She's not a big eater really. But maybe with some more variety, she'll eat more. It gets tiring to have to sing and dance and shriek and squeal to keep her distracted while I shovel the food in her mouth. :o) We'll see.......

Hello....

Where is everybody's July 4th pictures???? I know Ashley took some OH SO CUTE pictures of Elli and I am sure Robin has some too of Shelby? Where are they girlies? And Bobbie did you do anything fun for the 4th?
We went to St George this last weekend and had so much fun. We almost didn't make it back because of the fire. They closed the freeway like 5minutes after we past it. The flames were like 100 yards from the freeway and they were GYNORMOUS!! It was kindof scary driving that close to it and the smoke was unbearable. It was actually hard to breathe in!

Here are some more pics of us on the 4th and this weekend.
And... Here is my broken pinky toe!! I hit it so hard the night before the 4th, and it hurt so badly! This picture doesn't do it justice but here it is anyway. Sorry about the ugly feet but I just wanted to show my toe!

Well, post some pics soon. Did anybody have anything lukcy happen on 7-7-07?? Not us. We just went to the temple and play.

Love you all, Melissa

4th of July Fun!!

Bryson and I had one of the best 4th of Julys we've ever had!! It was a fun filled day and I'm going to do my best to keep this short, cause the video is long enough! :) We started the day off with a hike up to the Timpanogos Caves. We were planning on just doing the hike cause all we had heard was that the tours of the caves usually sell out on holidays, which was the case here...however, we decided to just check and see when we first got there and two people had JUST canceled so we were able to get into a tour. The tour had just barely left so we were able to hike up on our own, no waiting, no anything. The hike wasn't the easiest hike. I know I'm not in shape, so that probably didn't help either, but it was a pretty difficult hike I think for most. It's a mile and a half long just to get up to the caves and it's a 1,065 incline so the majority of the hike is pretty steep. Maybe I'm just a wimp. Anyway, we made it up there, able to rest a little before the actual tour of the caves started. The tour was so neat. It was 45 degrees inside the caves so it was nice and cool and the whole thing was just very interesting. We had a lot of fun playing around and exploring, squeezing through tiny crevices, etc. They say that when a stalactite drips water on you its a kiss from the cave...so in the video you'll notice a few pictures of us getting "kisses' from the cave. It was just a lot of fun. Oh see if you can find the picture of the rock formation that looks like a St. Bernard dog. The hike down was SO nice (especially compared to the hike up) and so beautiful! After we enjoyed some ice cream cones at the snack bar to cool off. We then drove home and relaxed for a few hours...we were pooped! Then Jenny and Tyson came over for our indoors BBQ. Well, we enjoyed our yummy food and then got our big blanket and some games to keep us occupied and headed out to the lawn to claim our front row seat territory for the fireworks show that was in a few hours. We were there for about 10 minutes just hanging out with the many other people claiming their spots and this car pulls up right in front of us and asks US if we wanted four free tickets to Stadium of Fire!!!! We threw all our stuff back in the apartment and headed over to Stadium of Fire. For those who don't know what this is...it's a BIG concert like shin-dig in Cougar Stadium with a HUGE firework show at the end. Stadium of Fire was SO much fun! Glenn Beck (he has his own show on CNN) and something or other Willard (comedian...I can't think of his first name now...you'll recognize the picture) were there hosting it for the most part, Brooks & Dunn performed, along with this other kid Corbin Bleu (from High School Musical??), there was this guy, Rocketman, who flew around the stadium with a rocket pack strapped on his back like Rocketeer...it was SO cool (see video)!! Then there were a bunch of other stuff, soldiers, kids singing and dancing, etc. It was just so much fun! And then the firework show at the end was amazing!! We were so close that the fireworks were raining ash on us. After Stadium of Fire, we all went back to our apartment and had our own little firework show with sparklers and some fun little fireworks that Bryson and I bought. It was a GREAT day and night!!! Well...this is long enough!! Enjoy the video!! Hope you all had a great fourth of July!!

We're Baaaaaaaack!!!

Hey guys!! Glad to see some great posting was done while I was gone. Yay for Bobbie and Robin. They do live!! Great pictures of Washington Bobbie. Looks like you're having lots of fun. How are the people you work with? Do you have fun with them? Did you know your roommates beforehand or was it the luck of the draw? Looks like they like to get out and play....that's good. And Robin........Shelby is just too cute. I LOVE all her hair. Wow, little angel! Keep posting pictures. Oh, and you and Jesse look great too! What a darling little family. :o) Post more pics both of you!

So Colorado was so fun. My sister's wedding was beautiful and she and Johnny are really happy together. They moved to California last week and will be living in San Diego now. They are pretty excited. Anyway, here's some pics from the event. Here's my side of the family who were at the temple.

Here's all three of us later that afternoon at the reception.

My sister loved Elli!! Whenever I would come into the room or join them at their cabin or anything, April always said, "Here, I'll take her." And then the cousins or other kids would come up and want to hold her and April would say, "No, it's my turn!!" And Elli loved cuddling in April's neck. I have no idea why but she would always nestle her head in April's neck and April loved it. April and Ben have two kids but I'm pretty sure April wants more. They don't have room right now until they build a house but she wants another so bad. I think Ben is just fine having their two boys and that's it. We'll see what happens.

Here's Elli and Robin. She had a ball with her too!

Before the reception really got rolling, Elli was so cranky and tired. My dad asked to hold her and he just sang really low to her while she stared at him. It was pretty cute. She quickly fell asleep and he was pretty proud of himself.

Here's my niece Camille, who's 11, and loved holding Elli. She and her older sister Aubrey, were always fighting over who got to hold her. It was fun for me to be able to visit while Elli was being entertained. I wanted to take them both home with me for the summer.

Shannon and Johnny cutting the cake.

The day after the wedding, all of the family (aunts, uncles, cousins, g-mas and pas, kids, babies, etc) went to the mountains by some lakes and rented some cabins for a couple of days for a family reunion. It was ALL of the family on my mom's side. We haven't all been together in a LONG time. We don't normally all get together for weddings but decided to do it this time because Shannon's wedding was in the summer and it was just a good time for everyone. One of my uncles paid for a lot of the family in CA to come out and rented their cabins for them. It was fun to have everyone together.

My cousin Cassie (Katie used to go to primary with her. Right Katie?) playing kids songs on the banjo for all the kids.

Playing some circle games.

4 generations. My mom and her mom and me and Elli. This is my last living grandparent. Everyone took a lot of pictures with her that night. She had a stroke a few months ago and has lost a lot of her memory but won't admit it. It's sad to see her get so old. But we were all so glad she was able to fly over from Hawaii.

Once again, Elli with aunt April. She was always snuggling her!

The next day, we took the canoe out and the kids had a blast. We had perfect weather the whole time and the scenery was beautiful!

Anyway, that's it. Hope you enjoy the pics. I'm glad to be home and so is Steve. He was a little lonely after he came home to an empty house and was by himself for a week. Poor guy.......I bet he's not missing me anymore with all of the little things I ask him to do!! ;o)

Happy 4th everyone!

Love you!

Ashley

Shelby

Hi Everyone.
Ok, I haven't taken too many pictures yet but here are a couple. I love reading about all of you and what's going on. Bobbie you look great and I'm glad the job is going good. Ashley, your camping trip looked so fun and Elli is as cute as ever. Katie and Melissa I'm so jealous that you guys got together. We really need to have some kind of reunion with all of us. Oh and I'm pulling for Arizona Melissa!!!!!!!!! I would be so so happy. Keep us updated. Hey did Donald ever have surgery? Did he tear something in his knee? Hope he's doing ok. Well, we're doing good. Shelby gets more fun everyday. She's making funny faces in all of these pictures but that's ok, we think she's beautiful. And now she's crying so I better go feed her. Who knew cute little babies were this much work. Haha.
