Lunch

We finally got together today for lunch at Bajios! We were saying that it is sad we live like 5 minutes from eachother and never get together. So, we finally went to lunch. Thanks Katie for coming over towards my work. It was so much fun to see you and talk to you. It is crazy how you can not see eachother for a long while but then we could have talked forever today. I love how that is with friends. I am sad we haven't seen eachother too much. We need to get together a couple more times before you move. Then I will just have to come to Idaho more and see you and Elli.....I mean Ashley;0). Definetly for a camping trip in like Sept.
Here is our only "blogshot" of lunch. See bajios sign in the back? Good photography Katie!

Well not much else is happening with us. Just waiting now to see if Donald gets this management position. The oly bad thing is, he was able to apply today for it and there is no store hiring in Utah. We would have to move out of state. There are some stores in nevada, Washington, and Arizona that he applied for. Maybe we will move back to AZ close to Robin! Who knows. I will keep you updated.

Love you all, Melissa

PICTURE TIME!!!

My roommate and I went to Seattle this last weekend. We went to visit one of her old high school friends. This is downtown at the fish market. They had these bronzed pigs all over the city it was "pig Rachel" Ya kind of crazy. This is my roommate that has been living with me in Wenatchee. She is doing her internship here also, but she leaves in a week...

This is a guy that we met our first week here. He was pretty cool until he decided to move to Boise for the summer to play baseball.

Here we have Abrahm and Jason when we went on a road trip to Lavenworth this little Bavarian town about 45 minutes from here...it was a lot fun!

I will post more photos later!

Hello From Washington

Hey,
So I'm sure that you were all wondering where the heck I've been...Things were a little crazy the last three months. I finally graduated, and now I'm living in Wenatchee, WA doing an externship. I have decided to sign on with the company...I know it's crazy I'm doing this grown up stuff. I love my job though its a great atmosphere. I mainly work with pediatrics with crazy syndromes or just crazy in general. There are some adults that come in, so I have a variety which is nice then I don't feel like I need to go to the nut house.
Lets see what more can I tell you about my life...well social life in Wenatchee is interesting. There are not a lot of singles here...but like my dad says you only need one, so I'll keep you posted on the events of my life.
I hope that everyone is doing well. Robin congrats on the baby she is adorable.
Talk to you soon.
Love ya,
Bobbie

Weekend

Well, we had a wonderful weekend with my brother-in-law and family. We went to a baseball game-the Orem Owlz. They won of course. They aren't a pro team but just under that and so it was so much fun. My nephew was so ecstatic because his dad caught a foul ball for him. Then, Friday night we went to Boondocks. They have go karts, mini golf, an arcade, bumper boats, laser tag, and a batting cage. That was a ton of fun. We were all like little kids and just loved doing all the stuff and were pretty worn out.
Here is my brother and sister-in-law, and nephew putting. My little nephew just liked to put the ball in the hole.

This is me and Colton hanging out.
Then saturday, we went to the dinosaur museum and that was really AWESOME!!! I was very impressed by it. It was very hands on for kids and the dinosaurs were so neat. Hunter-my nephew-loved it!!We also saw an IMAX of the dinosaurs and that was great also!
Hunter running from the dinosaur~!
Not much else is happening! We were exhuasted today and took a very loooong nap after church. Good thing it was stake conference and we got home at noon instead of at 4pm!

Robin, how is Shelby doing? HOw are you doing? We need all the details! And more pics. She sure is so cute. CONGRATS again!

Katie-how is everything? I love your blog! How did you design it like that? i love it. Ashley-how was the wedding? Post pics of you guys.

I hope you guys like the new design of our blog. I thought we needed a change for awhile.

Love you all,Melissa

Bryson's Birthday Weekend

Well this weekend was Bryson birthday and we made sure we had a fun filled weekend. Friday we went to Chuck E Cheese's with my sister, Jenny & her husband Tyson and my cousin Marissa and her family. We ate yummy pizza, Jenny made a SUPER cute fish cake, and we had a blast playing games. There was this one game called Flamin' Fingers where it gives you a course and you have to get through the course with your finger in the amount of time provided, not as easy as it may sound. (Videos of us playing in the slideshow) Jenny and I were the only ones (I think...now I don't remember if Tyson did) who could finish the course and won a ton of tickets! We have Flamin' Fingers! **Blows smoke off fingers** Anyway, Chuck E Cheese's was a ton of fun! Then Saturday Tex and his wife came down and spent the day with us. We went and saw the movie Surf's Up (fun movie...go see!) and then we went to this Japanese restaurant where they cook your food right in front of you. It was a lot of fun...and nice cause we had a gift card so it was almost free!! After dinner we went to Leatherbys and got milk shakes. Sunday, the actual birthday, we just relaxed and spent the day together, just us two. Bryson opened presents. He got some sweet computer upgrades from his family and a computer game that he's been wanting from his brother. Money and a card from my parents. And some clothes and a racquetball set from me. Anyway, all in all it was great weekend!! Enjoy the video! By the way...Ashley, I love this way of doing a slideshow!! Good idea!! PS..WATCH WITH SPEAKERS ON...I WORKED HARD TO FIND AND PUT THIS MUSIC ON THERE!! :)

I need everyones HONEST opinion!!!

Okay...so my sister cut my hair last night cause it really needed a trim...however, when she was cutting my "side swept" bangs...well, they just didn't quite turn out how they usually do. I don't really know what happened there, but anyway, they ended up being too short to be side swept in some areas and not in others and blah blah blah blah...........it was just a mess....so i tried fixing them this morning, and well, i kinda ended up giving myself just like normal bangs. :) well, with the way she cut some of them, that's really all i could do. SOO...i wasn't really intially trying to give myself normal bangs, but the more I tried to fix them to do the side sweep thing like i normally have them, the more they just didn't work out. SOOOOOOOOOOO............after I was done and I realized that I just wasn't going to get side swept bangs, i started playing with them and got this picture below. Obviously, if I decided to go with this look I would need to clean them up a little cause they're really uneven right now, but before I take the scissors in my hands again to try to clean these up, I want HONEST opinions....does this look work?? Is it cute?? or horrible?? Should I clean them up and rock the bang look, or just let them grow out and eventually get my side swept look back. Help!! :) Really...i need honesty...even if it is harsh. Thanks! Love you all!

Kennedy singing

Okay, sorry to move Ashley's cute blog down...but my sister in law just sent us this video of my niece Kennedy. So cute......

THE CAMPOUT WAS...

...A SUCCESS!!! Elli did pretty well on the campout last weekend. We went with our university ward and it was a lot of fun. I was really worried that Elli would cry a lot and want to be held all night but she slept from about 9pm until 3:30am. She just fussed for a little bit and Steve rocked her back to sleep. She slept again until 5:30, I fed her and then we all got up at 6:30. We couldn't stand the freezing cold temp anymore. There was ice on all the cars in the morning. Elli was bundled and was warm all night in her pack 'n play but Steve and I FROZE!! We didn't have sleeping bags, just an air matress and blankets. Woah, it was a long night for us. But, considering how well Elli did, we'd go again.

Here's the night we got there and Elli finally fell asleep in my arms.

Here's Elli and Steve the next morning after we got up. It was still pretty chilly.

Later we went out by the river to go fishing. It was too late in the day to catch anything (according to Steve) but we had fun trying.

I kept trying to follow Steve's instructions but all I caught was a stick!! (At least it's a pretty big one.....something to be proud of. Okay, it's a big twig. Whatever. Fishing's just not my thing.)

Okay, I had no idea there were mountains this pretty in southern Idaho. Saturday was such a beautiful day. You guys want to plan a camping trip?

Anyway, that's it. On the way home, we had to stop and get square ice cream. (it's just this famous place closeby that scoops out the ice cream in a cube shape. Go figure. Not that amazing but it's pretty popular.) Steve used to go there all the time as a kid so he was pretty excited!! Cute!
Love you guys........come up everyone and lets go camping!

Video

I couldn't get this to appear on the last post. Then when I tried adding it again, Katie had already responded (go turbo!!). So here's a little video of Elli dancing with Steve. Elli loves dancing with her daddy!! It makes me smile!

YAY for Rexburg's PORTER PARK!!

Porter Park is the hot spot this summer. Last summer the city approved for that old slide (next to the carousel) to be torn out and funded a new little splash park to be put in its place. Wow is it the "thing" to do this summer. It's always busy and kids are always shrieking, having a good time. Anyway, we went and played at the park with some other mommies and then headed over to the splash park. It was a lot of fun. However, I think Elli will enjoy it a little more next year.

Here's Elli on our walk over to Porter Park sportin' her new glasses. Yeah, this babies got BLING!! (In case you can't see, there are rhinestones on the glasses) I was reading somewhere that it isn't good for fair-eyed babies to be in direct sunlight a lot because it harms their forming eyes and retinas. Anyway, it made for a great excuse to buy these glasses at old navy.

Here's Elli with some little girls from our last ward. They loved to hold Elli and touch her. I couldn't get her to look at the camera.

Okay, I know you don't know these people (they are our neighbors) but this is the only shot I have of the splash park and it's only a part of it. At the top, this big bucket fills with water and when it gets to full and heavy it dumps over the whole play area and the kids shriek and run around. It's too fun!

And all around the perimeter, there are little spray fountains. Some are big and some are little bubblers like this one. I'm guessing for babies. Elli's scarred from the last time we put her in the water. She didn't want to be put in this water either. She was getting tired at this point and the water was a little chilly. So maybe next time.

Anyway, that was our day at the park. Today, it's rainy so we are staying inside. That's okay, I need to finish unpacking. Uggh! Before I go, check out this picture of Elli. Doesn't she look EXACTLY like Steve here? Other ones I am not sure about and when I look at Elli I have a hard time seeing it. But this picture sealed the deal for me. Our daughter looks like her dad. (I was in denial this whole time.)

And then this was just too cute to not post. Lil' smiley pie!!

Well, happy Wednesday!
Love you all! (even those of you who don't post) hahahahaha!!
